Job Description:

Support Worker position in Community Services team at Aruma, supporting individuals with disabilities and complex needs. Role involves advocating for human rights, implementing personalized support plans, and building relationships to promote inclusion and self-determination.

Job Responsibility:

Advocate for the rights, dignity, and equality of adults, young people, and children
Ensure clients receive tailored support that respects their unique needs and goals
Implement and review personalised support plans that align with everyone's aspirations
Build strong relationships with clients, their families, and community stakeholders
Promote inclusion and self-determination for those supported

Requirements:

Must hold a valid Working with Children's Check
Must hold a current and full driver licence
Passionate about human rights and positive change
Empathetic, compassionate, and understanding of diverse experiences
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond to customer needs
Team player, enthusiastic about collaboration and best practices
Willing to obtain relevant regulatory requirements

Nice to have:

Experience in managing high-challenging behaviours
Experience with implementing and reviewing personalised support plans
Experience building relationships with clients, families, and community stakeholders
