Job Description:

Join a dedicated team at Aruma as a Youth Worker, playing a crucial role in guiding and empowering young people with essential life skills and creating a more inclusive, compassionate society. Provide mentorship, emotional support, and build meaningful connections with children and young people with dual diagnoses or trauma-based behavior.

Job Responsibility:

Build meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance
develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth
provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges
collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
support and encourage children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent
willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements
empathetic and compassionate
excellent communication skills
enthusiastic team player
availability for 24/7 rotating roster including weekends & sleepover shifts
