As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person-centred support. Whether it’s daily living assistance, emotional guidance, or community engagement, your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Job Responsibility:
Build meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance
Develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth
Provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges
Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
Utilise your personal experience to inspire and connect with young individuals
Support and encourage children and young people with Dual Diagnosis including Trauma based behaviour to feel safe and secure to build trusting relationships/connections
Requirements:
Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid, CPR, Drivers licence & NDIS Worker check or willingness to obtain
Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts including days, sleep overs, weekends & public holidays
