Located across the Loddon Mallee Region, successful applicants will report to the Support Manager or Service Lead and work within the Purpose and Values of Aruma. As part of a high-performing Youth Support Team, you will deliver a positive customer experience to young people in residential care, including those with disability, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and empowered.
Job Responsibility:
Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment
Promote positive family relationships and community connections
Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Requirements:
Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care)
Mandatory Top-Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules)
Valid Australian full driver’s licence
Valid Australian working rights
Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
Passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
Resilience and commitment to trauma-informed care
