Job Description

Make a real difference in the lives of young people. Located across the Loddon Mallee Region, successful applicants will report to the Support Manager or Service Lead and work within the Purpose and Values of Aruma. As part of a high-performing Youth Support Team, you will deliver a positive customer experience to young people in residential care, including those with disability, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment
  • Promote positive family relationships and community connections
  • Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care)
  • Mandatory Top-Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules)
  • Valid Australian full driver’s licence
  • Valid Australian working rights
  • Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
  • Passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
  • Resilience and commitment to trauma-informed care
