As a Support Worker in our Children’s Services team, you will support children and young people to feel safe, supported and included at home and in the community. You’ll build positive relationships, support daily routines and development, and advocate for each child’s rights, voice and wellbeing.
Job Responsibility:
Support daily routines, activities and personal care where required
Provide safe, trauma-informed and person-centred support
Implement behaviour support strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Encourage independence, skill development and community participation
Work closely with families, carers and professionals
Complete clear documentation in line with safeguarding, NDIS and legislative requirements
Requirements:
Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or willingness to obtain (Victoria requirements apply)
Compassionate, reliable and committed to quality support
Passionate about working with children and young people
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willing to learn and follow best-practice, child-safe approaches
Holds or is willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and relevant probity checks
