Job Description

Are you an experienced, compassionate and caring support worker looking for a new challenge or a change? Here at Randstad we could have the role for you! We are looking for support workers to come and join our team working on the Scottish Islands.

Job Responsibility

  • Helping service users with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, household tasks and general domiciliary care
  • Able to commit to a 12 week minimum for the post with contract extensions often available
  • Due to the remote locations of many of the services, it is essential that you have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a care home or in a community care/care at home environment
  • You are compassionate and caring towards other with a desire to help people
  • You must have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team liaising with wider teams to ensure the best level of care is provided
  • Have a strong ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Minimum of 1 year UK Care experience
  • Have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Have a right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)

Nice to have

Experience working with a range of service users is desirable including learning disabilities, elderly, dementia, physical disabilities and some challenging behaviour
