Job Description

Become a Support Volunteer and help us make a true difference to the lives of people living with and affected by MND. As a Support Volunteer, you’ll offer emotional support, practical information, and a listening ear. You’ll play a key role in helping them feel less isolated and more connected. This is a flexible and rewarding role where your time and compassion can have a lasting impact.

Job Responsibility

Offer regular contact by phone, email or in person, based on the needs and preferences of the person you’re supporting
Provide emotional support and a listening ear
Help people navigate the services available from the Association and other local organisations
Work alongside staff and other volunteers to ensure people get the right help at the right time

Requirements

Warmth, empathy and good communication skills
A non-judgemental attitude and the ability to respect confidentiality
A willingness to learn about MND and the challenges people face
Basic IT skills and access to the internet
