Job Description

Become a Support Volunteer and help us make a true difference to the lives of people living with and affected by MND. As a Support Volunteer, you’ll offer emotional support, practical information, and a listening ear. You’ll play a key role in helping them feel less isolated and more connected. This is a flexible and rewarding role where your time and compassion can have a lasting impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Offer regular contact by phone, email or in person, based on the needs and preferences of the person you’re supporting
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear
  • Help people navigate the services available from the Association and other local organisations
  • Work alongside staff and other volunteers to ensure people get the right help at the right time

Requirements

  • Warmth, empathy and good communication skills
  • A non-judgemental attitude and the ability to respect confidentiality
  • A willingness to learn about MND and the challenges people face
  • Basic IT skills and access to the internet
