Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for two understanding and creative male colleagues with a positive attitude to join our new service supporting a young man as Support Practitioners on a permanent basis. We have a full-time (39hr) contract and part-time (16hr) contract available. You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner including a fully funded SVQ.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support a young man with psychosis and schizophrenia
  • Help support him learn life skills including cooking and looking after his home
  • Explore new hobbies and integrating with his local community
  • Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, medication management, attending appointments and activities, handling personal finances and prompts with personal care
  • Offer emotional guidance, support with addictions and help the young man maintain meaningful relationships with his family and friends
  • Support on an outcome-based programme to see the young man grow in confidence and learn life skills to increase their independence
  • Take an active interest in their hobbies with include going out for walks and to their social clubs and going on outings
  • Enable him to explore new opportunities and reduce his social isolation

Requirements:
