Based at Winkfield Resource Centre, you will be part of a committed and dedicated team providing a wide range of administrative services for people with learning and physical disabilities. In this role you will be the first point of contact for a wide range of diverse communities and cultures working with the framework of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
Job Responsibility:
To provide an efficient and courteous direct contact and telephone service
To undertake general office administration, including reception duties
To service and minute meetings as required
To create purchase orders using SAP/Lyreco systems
To create contracts using the HPCS system
To have the ability to use Microsoft office and Liquidlogic (Council database)
To manage and maintain the Winkfield booking system
To liaise effectively and professionally with staff, adults with a range of disabilities, parents/carers and other agencies, contributing towards the presentation of an effective image of the service
To plan events by writing and sending letters to service users, creating event flyers and organising games and quizzes
Requirements:
Experience of working with administrative systems
Knowledge and experience of using IT systems, such as
SAP, Liquidlogic, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word Processing)
Ability to write standard letters/emails to staff and external agencies
Ability to take notes/minutes at meetings
Ability to take messages and record information accurately initiating appropriate action
Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with members of the public, staff and other agencies
Experience in general administration and reception duties
Support to specific projects/events as identified by the Team Manager
Understanding, knowledge, and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at work, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements
