Job Description:

Based at Winkfield Resource Centre, you will be part of a committed and dedicated team providing a wide range of administrative services for people with learning and physical disabilities. In this role you will be the first point of contact for a wide range of diverse communities and cultures working with the framework of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy.

Job Responsibility:

  • To provide an efficient and courteous direct contact and telephone service
  • To undertake general office administration, including reception duties
  • To service and minute meetings as required
  • To create purchase orders using SAP/Lyreco systems
  • To create contracts using the HPCS system
  • To have the ability to use Microsoft office and Liquidlogic (Council database)
  • To manage and maintain the Winkfield booking system
  • To liaise effectively and professionally with staff, adults with a range of disabilities, parents/carers and other agencies, contributing towards the presentation of an effective image of the service
  • To plan events by writing and sending letters to service users, creating event flyers and organising games and quizzes

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with administrative systems
  • Knowledge and experience of using IT systems, such as
  • SAP, Liquidlogic, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word Processing)
  • Ability to write standard letters/emails to staff and external agencies
  • Ability to take notes/minutes at meetings
  • Ability to take messages and record information accurately initiating appropriate action
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with members of the public, staff and other agencies
  • Experience in general administration and reception duties
  • Support to specific projects/events as identified by the Team Manager
  • Understanding, knowledge, and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at work, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements
