Job Description

We’re recruiting Support Mentors to work within SEND and SEMH educational settings, supporting pupils who need consistency, empathy, and strong role models.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Implement behaviour and support plans alongside teaching staff
  • Promote inclusion, resilience, and independence
  • Be a calm, consistent presence in the classroom and wider school environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or similar)
  • Confidence supporting challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable

Nice to have

SEND/SEMH experience is desirable but not essential
