Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Support Engineering Data Specialist to support a major Maintenance & Logistic Support Services program for a leading defence client. Based in Oakey, this role is essential for the progression of Operator and Maintenance Technical Manuals and Engineering instructions. While you will work alongside technical experts who handle the engineering aspects of the program, your focus will be the administrative management, quality control, and delivery of critical technical data.

Job Responsibility:

  • Technical Publication Revision: Develop and review routine and critical technical publication tasks for international customers
  • Data Integrity: Conduct quality and in-process reviews to validate technical publications and technical data
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with engineering staff to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve project delivery milestones
  • Manual Progression: Assist in the progression of Operator and Maintenance Technical Manuals and Engineering instructions

Requirements:

  • Analytical Mindset: The ability to evaluate technical source data, specifications, and issues impacting product support
  • Strong Documentation Skills: Experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair documentation to support product development
  • Communication: High-standard communication skills to facilitate interaction between project staff and internal customer groups
  • Technical Literacy: A demonstrated understanding of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM)
  • Desired Experience: Prior experience in an aircraft environment or with XML/SGML is highly desirable
  • Technical Preferences: Experience with XML or SGML and prior aircraft experience is highly desirable
