Job Responsibility:
Play a critical role in reducing operational risk and ensuring the management of telemetry alarms
Monitoring and initial response to telemetry alarms received from water production and distribution assets
Identifying appropriate staff to attend the site and allocating work for corrective action
Apply a context-sensitive approach to alarm management to identify the appropriate response
Highlight areas of risk across the wider supply system
Resolve recurring alarms and implement procedure improvements
Liaise and communicate with control room staff and operational field teams
Form a pivotal part of the operational response to supply alarms and incidents
Drive to minimise service failure and maximise an efficient response through data-driven assessments
Administration and use of CCTV applications
Liaison with work scheduling and field teams
Alarm changes and process management
The remote operation of plant
The live analysis of telemetry and other corporate data
Following procedures for critical alarms
The maintenance and administration of handovers
Requirements:
Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
Aptitude and approach to effectively problem solve
Competent in interpreting data and communicating clear information to stakeholders
Comfortable working at pace while being able to deliver important activities
Liaising with technical staff and the ability to discuss technical concepts
Experience working in an operational team/control room
Ability to adapt between following strict procedures and using your own initiative
Delivering a consistent performance under all workload conditions, including during operational incidents and weather events
Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft products
Nice to have:
An understanding of water supply systems or telemetry systems
