Job Description:

Are you a caring and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking to support learners in Lower Key Stage 2? We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Supply TA to work in a Year 4 classroom, offering valuable learning support in a dynamic and welcoming environment. This role is ideal for those who enjoy varied placements and want to make a real difference in a child’s day-to-day education journey.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide classroom-based support to Year 4 pupils during core and foundation lessons
  • Support pupils with varying abilities through group work and one-to-one interventions
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and maintaining a positive learning space
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Help manage behaviour in line with the school’s expectations
  • Promote inclusion and provide emotional and social support where needed
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and uphold safeguarding at all times

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Key Stage 2 classroom, ideally Year 4
  • A patient, positive, and flexible attitude
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Understanding of the Year 4 curriculum and learning needs
  • A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and eligibility to work in the UK
