Job Description:

Join Our Team as a Cover Supervisor in Torquay! Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in education? Do you have excellent communication skills, a passion for supporting students, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively? We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join schools across Torquay and provide support in the absence of teachers.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged
Deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring students understand the tasks and complete their work
Maintain a positive, productive classroom environment and promote good behavior
Provide assistance and support to students, helping them stay focused and motivated
Liaise with school staff to ensure smooth transitions between lessons and effective student support
Assist with the day-to-day management of students and contribute to a positive school atmosphere

Requirements:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a classroom
A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments
A passion for supporting young people and contributing to their learning and development
