Job Responsibility:

  • Take full responsibility for planning, assessment, and reporting on the attainment and progress of all pupils in the class
  • Potentially lead a non-core subject (e.g., Computing or MFL) across the Key Stage, developing resources and training colleagues
  • Use school data tracking systems proficiently to inform precise interventions and report outcomes to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Effectively line-manage and guide the classroom Teaching Assistant, ensuring targets are mutually understood and delivered
  • Organise and conduct informative parent-teacher consultations and maintain proactive communication with families
  • Contribute to the rich extracurricular programme by leading a weekly club or activity aligned with school development goals

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory
  • Proven track record of securing excellent pupil outcomes, ideally within Key Stage 2
  • Thorough knowledge of effective differentiation strategies for high-ability pupils
  • Commitment to the highest levels of professional conduct and safeguarding
  • Must possess a current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
