Job Responsibility

  • Providing tailored support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Supervising students during activities, break times, and school events
  • Working individually or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions and extra help
  • Managing classroom dynamics to ensure a safe, positive, and orderly learning space
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Adhering to all school policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism at all times

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children, specifically within an educational setting, with a focus on Special Educational Needs
  • Exceptional patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when working with diverse learners
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • A strong capacity to adapt quickly to different school environments, student needs, and classroom challenges
  • A deep commitment to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for all students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable, especially one related to SEN support
