Job Responsibility:
Providing tailored support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
Assisting with lesson preparation and creating an inclusive learning environment
Supervising students during activities, break times, and school events
Working individually or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions and extra help
Managing classroom dynamics to ensure a safe, positive, and orderly learning space
Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
Adhering to all school policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism at all times
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience working with children, specifically within an educational setting, with a focus on Special Educational Needs
Exceptional patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when working with diverse learners
The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team
A strong capacity to adapt quickly to different school environments, student needs, and classroom challenges
A deep commitment to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for all students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with students and colleagues
Nice to have:
A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable, especially one related to SEN support
