Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and flexible Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team at a specialist SEN school focusing on SEMH. This vital role involves providing temporary, short-term, and potentially longer-term cover across various classes and age groups, supporting pupils with complex needs to access their education and thrive both academically and socially.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-quality, flexible support to the class teacher and pupils
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of tailored learning activities
  • Implement strategies and interventions designed to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive emotional regulation
  • Support pupils' social development and communication skills
  • Assist with personal care where necessary (training provided)
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Experienced in supporting pupils with SEMH needs (essential)
  • Resilient, calm, and able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
