Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and executing high-quality, differentiated lessons that challenge all pupils, particularly those identified as 'Greater Depth'
  • Using formative and summative assessment data to create precise intervention maps for pupils underachieving in core subjects
  • Taking responsibility for a foundation subject area, overseeing its development and resource allocation across the whole school
  • Participating in trust-wide moderation and planning sessions to share best practices and ensure curriculum consistency
  • Leading professional parent-teacher consultations and providing regular, transparent updates on pupil attainment
  • Creating a classroom culture rooted in mutual respect, resilience, and the Academy's core values

Requirements:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant UK degree
  • Evidence of 'Good' or 'Outstanding' teaching practice in a previous Key Stage 2 role (ECTs with strong placements are encouraged)
  • Expert understanding of the National Curriculum and statutory KS2 assessment frameworks (SATs)
  • The ability to manage a busy workload, meet deadlines, and lead a team of classroom support staff
  • A steadfast commitment to safeguarding and the promotion of British values within the classroom
