The Role As a supply primary TA, you will work across various local schools in the Leeds area, adapting quickly to different classroom environments and providing vital support to both teachers and pupils.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide 1:1 or small group interventions to ensure no child falls behind
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, resource setup, and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere
  • Encourage children to engage with their daily activities through creative, patient, and nurturing support
  • Successfully blend into different school communities and follow localised safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements

  • Essential: Applicants must have previous UK experience working in a primary school or educational setting
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude and a genuine love for supporting young learners
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with staff and pupils quickly
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo a new check)
  • CACHE level 2 or 3
