Supply Planning Specialist role focused on driving stock availability by aligning Buying, Forecasting, and Suppliers across seasonal peaks and promotions. Act as the vital link between Buying, Sales Forecasting, and Suppliers to align demand and supply for seasonal peaks and major events. Ensure our customers find exactly what they need on our shelves. Deliver high levels of stock availability through expert inventory management and seamless service from our Distribution Centres. Proactively secure supply during shortages and identify internal and external efficiencies through strategic planning with our trade partners.
Job Responsibility:
Building demand and supply forecasts through facilitation of alignment between Buying Teams, Sales Forecasting and Suppliers
Effective use of Woolworths Distribution Centre inventory through monitoring of stock levels and leveraging network to generate actions to maintain appropriate stock levels
Ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed of Supply Chain changes that may influence service, inventory and stores, Buying or Suppliers
Planning and execution of promotional activity appropriate for Suppliers while maintaining service and appropriate inventory
Forming a tailor made operating rhythm with appropriate stakeholders to ensure alignment on Buying, Sales planning and Suppliers plans
Ensuring that regular Business planning/collaboration meetings are facilitated to keep appropriate stakeholders up to date with meaningful strategies to improve service, inventory or efficiency
Requirements:
Industry Expertise: Experience in FMCG, general retail, or replenishment planning
Technical Savvy: Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Google applications, with a working knowledge of supply planning software like JDA or SAP
Collaborative Leadership: A proven ability to work cross-functionally with Buying teams, Business Managers, and external Trade Partners
Strategic Planning: Demonstrated experience in managing seasonal peaks, major events, and weekly promotional operating rhythms
