The Supply Planner will work in a small, 3-member micro-team alongside a Business Developer and a Production Engineer to improve the logistics process and reduce costs. The role involves ensuring high-quality capacity data, supplier delivery performance, and meaningful data analysis for fact-based decision making, among other responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Secure operational capacities by ensuring high quality of capacity data from suppliers and by working continuously towards exceptions together with Need Planner and Supplier in a proactive manner
Contribute to tactical capacity planning based on supplier performance on agreed capacity
Update and secure correct business set-up information in all relevant systems
Prepare suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by continuously maintaining & developing supplier delivery performance and sender lead-times
Contribute to identifying best logistical offer, furthermore implement, maintain and review by having customer and total cost in mind
Actively contribute in the planning and execution of the best set-up for range changes at supplier, constraints periods and activities
Continuously follow-up, analyse and take action to improve supplier delivery performance and ensure goods are shipped in time from suppliers
Secure correct availability information from supplier to IKEA Retail in such quality that it can be for the benefit of customers
Develop and maintain suppliers’ logistic competence towards becoming responsible on their own performance through: working closely with suppliers, running Supplier Development Projects and providing them relevant trainings & working methods
For various reporting purposes secure a consistent foundation, gather, process and compile data linking to Logistics, Engineering and Supplier Development to enabling decision making, preparing/visualization the different source of data, showing the history, trends, benchmarking, connection between different data
Working with multiple Business Teams, collecting, organizing, interpreting, and analyzing data related to purchasing activities
Contribute with experience and analytical expertise with the objective to extract meaningful and actionable insights from available data to support, fact-based decision-making
Requirements:
Degree with Supply Chain/Logistics certifications preferred
Relevant work experience of 8 to 12 years
Knowledge of supply chain logistics including different restocking as well as a good understanding of capacity planning
Good leadership skill to lead and develop suppliers in planning and logistic topics
Analytical skills and excellent knowledge and usage of needed tools/applications such as, Advanced Excel, Power BI etc.
Advanced knowledge of statistics, analysis methodologies, reporting and data visualization tools
Strong communication skills and team work
Ability to manage time well, to balance between the factory floor and office work
Strong business sense and cost conscious
