Job Description

Are you a qualified teacher who needs flexibility in your working pattern? Are you looking for a new rewarding role ? "Join us in shaping young minds and preparing students for a rapidly changing world." We are currently seeking an enthusiastic primary school teacher to join a mixed gender public primary school in Lingfield, providing cover on an ad-hoc basis. This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience and explore future long-term or permanent positions. While the work in this school is on an ad-hoc basis, there are additional opportunities with Academics to pick up work in other local schools. This role is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers, providing a flexible way to see different schools, gain invaluable experience, and earn money.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivery of pre-planned lessons
  • Adaptability to ensure students are challenged depending on their varying needs
  • Working effectively with a teaching assistant where appropriate
  • Being able to think on your feet in the event that work has not been set or it's not appropriate
  • Marking and providing clear and concise feedback on completed work in a timely fashion
  • Effective management of classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere

Requirements

  • DBS - In date, with no reprimands which prohibit working with children
  • Relevant qualifications - a degree along with relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE)
  • Experience of teaching in a primary setting is essential
  • Strong commitment and a positive attitude to the role and objectives
