We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join an organization in Exton, Pennsylvania, in a hands-on onsite role supporting daily procurement and materials operations. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing purchasing activities, inventory coordination, and data accuracy in a fast-moving environment. The person in this role will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to help maintain steady material flow, resolve order issues, and support efficient supply chain execution.
Job Responsibility:
Manage purchase order activities by assisting with order creation, confirming supplier details, reviewing pricing, and tracking expected delivery timelines.
Monitor open and overdue orders, follow up with vendors on status updates, and communicate changes that may affect internal operations.
Help maintain appropriate inventory levels by reviewing stock positions and identifying potential shortages or replenishment needs.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics partners to support material movement and address shipping, receiving, or availability concerns.
Prepare and review operational data in company systems and Excel to support reporting, planning, and day-to-day supply chain decisions.
Maintain accurate records for suppliers, items, lead times, and inventory-related data to support reliable planning and purchasing processes.
Share updates on delays, supply risks, or material issues with the appropriate internal stakeholders so teams can respond quickly.
Support onsite supply chain activities during facility-related operational changes and help ensure continuity across purchasing and material coordination tasks.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing support, or a related operations role.
Practical experience working with purchase orders, supplier communication, order tracking, and delivery follow-up.
Familiarity with inventory coordination, material flow support, and cross-functional collaboration with warehouse or logistics teams.
Proficiency in Excel and comfort using enterprise systems to review data, run reports, and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced onsite environment.
Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving order, supplier, or inventory issues.
Ability to work onsite in Exton, Pennsylvania and contribute effectively as part of a collaborative support team.
