Job Description

We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to support inventory planning, logistics coordination, and supply chain operations for a restaurants and catering organization in Torrance, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can balance day-to-day execution with project-based process improvement while working across purchasing, distribution, and operational teams. The role will focus on maintaining product flow, analyzing stock levels, and helping manage supply chain initiatives, including support for PeopleSoft-related project activities when needed. Only candidates local to the Los Angeles metropolitan area will be considered for this role. This role is infrequently required to report onsite to the Torrance warehouse.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate supply chain activities to ensure timely movement of goods and accurate inventory levels
  • Review inventory data and demand patterns to identify shortages and excess stock
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve delivery issues
  • Track logistics activity across ordering, transportation, and distribution processes
  • Contribute to supply chain projects by organizing timelines and assisting with PeopleSoft coordination
  • Prepare reports highlighting inventory trends and service metrics
  • Support process improvements to strengthen planning accuracy and reduce operational disruption

Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain management within a distribution, food service, restaurants, catering, or related operational environment
  • Working knowledge of logistics coordination, inventory analysis, and end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Experience in Netsuite highly preferred
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft project support or project coordination in a supply chain setting
  • Ability to analyze inventory and operational data to guide decisions and resolve supply issues
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and vendor partners
  • Proficiency in organizing priorities, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in recruiting or cross-functional business support is a plus
  • Bilingual preferred: Burmese, Chinese, or Spanish
