Job Description:

This position is as a Supply Chain Specialist and part of the on-site C-17 International Field Services Team supporting the Royal Air Force customer at RAF Brize Norton. The Boeing Team at RAF Brize Norton is a vital part of the support that we provide the Royal Air Force Customer. We have a large team of employees who work directly for and with the C-17 operational team, providing real-time, time critical and dynamic assistance at the point of delivery. This is a Team at the vanguard, and we are offering an opportunity for you to join that Team, the successful applicant will be part of the liaison between the Royal Air Force Customer and the various Boeing and US Government Agencies involved in supporting the C-17 worldwide fleet.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide retail supply operations and planning co-ordination support embedded in the planning team at the Main Operating Base (MOB)
  • Use of applications such as GOLDEsp, WoW, MJDI, PUBLOG, Haystack, C17 Technical Orders and cargo tracking
  • Generate and hasten all spares demands required for maintenance tasks
  • Generate and maintain demand reports to provide visibility to planning team
  • Proactively hasten internal and external stakeholders for demand satisfaction
  • Initiate and track demands for SOW spares, reviewing availability and identifying shortfalls ahead of the scheduled tasks start date ensuring spares in place prior to commencement of work as required
  • Attend SOW on site face to face input/co-ordination meetings and raising potential spares issues proactively with solutions
  • Proactively ensure all SOW spares are in place for scheduled maintenance key dates
  • Post HSC support review of demands and align outstanding requirements
  • Attend Engineering briefings daily to status critical parts and provide solutions
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide on-site support direct to customers and develop strong working relationships
  • AOG support locally and globally including reporting
  • Co-ordinate Stock, Store and Issue of all C-17 unique managed and RAF owned material such as part sourced from the Defence Logistics Agency, Air Mobility Command, repairables, consumables and Hazardous Fuels, Lubricants and Associated Products (FLAP) with warehouse team as required
  • Support periodic Boeing, Customer, and Regulatory quality and safety audits

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the GOLDEsp supply application
  • Working knowledge of the Warehouse on Web supply application
  • Working knowledge of the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory application
  • Working knowledge of the PUBLOG/HAYSTACK part research applications
  • Working knowledge of C-17 Technical Orders/Illustrated Parts Breakdown
  • Knowledge of MILSTRIP ordering process
  • Knowledge of cargo tracking
  • Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) supply processes
  • Strong proven experience in customer-facing aviation logistics and/or maintenance planning co-ordination
  • Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Active UK Driving License
  • Active UK Security Clearance (at Secret) or the ability and willingness to undertake a clearance process
