Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on managing transportation, logistics, and purchasing activities to ensure the seamless movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation and supplier communications.

Job Responsibility:

Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation for raw materials, packaging, work-in-progress items, and finished goods
Schedule and oversee shipments, including refrigerated, parcel, and courier freight, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery
Monitor shipments in transit, addressing issues such as delays or shortages proactively to maintain operational efficiency
Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading and delivery schedules, to ensure accuracy and compliance
Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers, verifying terms, pricing, and quantities are accurate
Receive inventory shipments, ensuring proper batch and lot tracking for raw materials and packaging
Validate invoices and receipts against purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies promptly
Confirm receipt of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation to support smooth supply chain operations
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to optimize logistics and purchasing processes

Requirements:

Previous experience in supply chain management, logistics, or purchasing is preferred
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential
Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively in a high-paced work environment
Proficient in using supply chain systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Familiarity with inventory tracking and analysis processes
Knowledge of purchase order generation and supplier communication best practices
Ability to resolve shipment delays and discrepancies with a proactive approach
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to support operational needs
