Job Responsibility

  • Be responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities of the various product development phases
  • Act as a project manager to ensure all procurement related activities are executed as per plan
  • Represent Procurement with the various integrated product development team
  • Track changes through the management process up to the point of implementation
  • Be responsible for contractual negotiations, resulting from product ranges, with external suppliers
  • Ensure that correct project tracking and visibility are provided by suppliers for Procurement and other business unit functions
  • Support, where applicable, the Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies for the development programs and draft commercial agreements with the suppliers
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to the agents of the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
  • Five (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • Experience in contract negotiations with suppliers
  • Experience on development programs (an asset)
  • Technical knowledge (an asset)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (French and English)
