We are looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain / Shipping and Receiving Specialist to support daily shipping, receiving, and purchasing operations for a manufacturing environment in Duncan, South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping materials, orders, and inventory moving accurately and efficiently. Job Responsibility
Oversee inbound and outbound material flow by coordinating receiving activities, shipment processing, and related documentation
Create, review, and track purchase orders to help ensure materials and supplies arrive on schedule and align with production needs
Maintain accurate inventory records by reconciling stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and supporting routine inventory analysis
Use QuickBooks and other business systems to enter transactions, update order information, and monitor supply chain activity
Partner with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to keep operations organized and address delays or fulfillment issues quickly
Prepare shipping records and receiving logs while ensuring materials are handled in accordance with company procedures
Support manufacturing operations by confirming material availability and helping prevent supply interruptions
Assist with process updates or system-related changes affecting supply chain workflows when needed
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, shipping and receiving, purchasing, or a related manufacturing support role
Working knowledge of purchase order processing, inventory tracking, and logistics coordination
Experience using QuickBooks Online or Desktop in an operational, purchasing, or inventory-related capacity
Understanding of manufacturing supply chain practices and material flow requirements
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records accurately and follow through on multiple tasks
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Proficiency with inventory analysis and basic reporting to support operational decision-making
