Job Description:

The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for assisting the Dexter Procurement team with Supply Chain projects. As a Supply Chain/Procurement Intern, you will be working on robust, hands-on projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing large volumes of technical data from various sources
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, production managers to understand data requirements and provide technical support
  • Assist in supplier research for various commodities and generate RFQs
  • Performing make vs. buy analysis decisions
  • Project Management

Requirements:

  • Excellent sense of ethics and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience in project management
  • Actively enrolled an accredited university working towards a bachelors or masters degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Business or related area of study

  • Work hand in hand with our technology team to develop and oversee the implementation of a fully digitized global procurement approach that will include two-way automated communication for pricing, ordering and inventory management, using our existing (Procore and Sage 300 along with new enterprise and productions management software systems
  • Identify and qualify best-in-class suppliers from across the globe, negotiate appropriate agreements to assure quality, service and price stability and implement policies and practices to build and maintain successful partner relationships
  • Collaborate with our manufacturing, finance operations, engineering, business development and other functional teams in order to optimize your department’s contribution to iBUILT’s overall success
  • Define supply chain metrics performance metrics for measurement, comparison and evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost, quality, and forecasts
