Job Description

As a Supply Chain Planner Analyst with the focus on Supply, you report to the Supply Chain Manager. You are primarily responsible for all supply, inventory, and SC project planning activities. You work closely with business to ensure that business requirements for product, information and SC planning are met on a timely basis. You will coordinate all supply planning activities directly with Marketing/Sales and establish a robust supply plan with BDs global planning teams and suppliers and/or manufacturing facilities. As a Supply Chain Planner Analyst you will provide input for the SIOP process for a given business segment in order to align market and financial requirements with supply capabilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Point of Contact for the Marketing/Sales and Customer Service
  • Lead joint S&OE planning activities by developing and maintaining an integrated/collaborative supply planning process and reports
  • Work with Marketing and Sales counterparts on supply related activities
  • Respond to demand and supply changes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate delivery plans with customer service teams, and address gaps between demand and supply
  • Point of Contact for Global Supply counterparts and/or Vendors
  • Develop supply net requirement plans
  • Conduct analysis and provide direction for inventory allocation where worldwide service is constrained
  • Review lack of in-transit supply and place additional orders or change method of shipments
  • Establish appropriate safety stock levels
  • Balance inventory levels versus service
  • Prepare supply chain metrics and monitor SC performance
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement within the integrated supply chain.

Requirements

  • Master degree in Economics or a Bachelor’s Degree with some first experience in the field
  • Experience in demand, supply and inventory planning
  • Exposure to regional planning and global initiatives (plus)
  • Strong facilitation, influencing and supporting skills
  • Excellent process development capabilities
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP platforms, such as JDE or SAP ECC
  • Strong working knowledge of an integrated Planning tool such as SAP SCM
  • Able to deal with ambiguity, are a continuous and versatile learner and are Self-motivated.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers and maintain correct forecasting model to generate the best possible statistical and consensus forecast calculation for all assigned customer accounts in the forecasting software
  • Ensure sales and customer team members communicates all non-forecastable inputs (such as promotions, ads, price changes, product discontinuances and others) properly and on time. Communicate these variations down the supply chain.
  • Maintain an open communication channel with sales and customer team members to reconcile and validate resultant forecast.
  • Facilitate regular collaborative sessions with sales team and customers to review trend aligning on the consensus forecast that incorporates statistical and non-statistical factors affecting demand
  • Provide insight to sales team related to their performance in predicting non-statistical factors affecting demand for assigned customer accounts
  • Strategic Sales Forecast for assigned customer accounts (20% of time allocated to responsibilities)
  • Reconcile statistical calculations, historic trends, sales feedback, new business information, and market updates to generate the best possible estimation on each round of the Strategic Forecast.
  • Data maintenance and Continuous improvement in demand planning process (10% of time allocated to responsibilities)
