Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Planner to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, ensuring smooth material flow and supporting production operations. Job Responsibility

  • Manage vendor sales order material requests, ensuring material availability through detailed analysis and coordination with other planners
  • Communicate changes to production plans and proactively address scheduling, material, and manufacturing challenges to prevent work stoppages
  • Process inventory reservations from approved requisitions, create sales orders, and ensure accurate material allocation to cost centers
  • Generate and share key performance metrics related to schedule commitments, material status, and documentation accuracy with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with purchasing staff to expedite material shortages and maintain efficient inventory management
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to adapt to changing schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Utilize supply chain systems, including Oracle, to streamline production scheduling and inventory processes
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail when handling numbers, dates, and inventory data
  • Support global supply chain operations by managing logistics and ensuring timely delivery of materials
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning within a low-volume, high-value manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain systems, preferably Oracle, and production scheduling methodologies
  • Proficiency in handling purchase requests, inventory reserves, and material planning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • High tolerance for changing schedules and frequent reprioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly with numbers and dates
  • Competence in using popular business software applications to support supply chain processes
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to volatile market conditions and customer preferences
