Microsoft is looking for analytical & innovative Supply Chain Planner to join a Worldwide Product Line of Business team, an influential group within the Surface Supply Chain organization, responsible for driving end to end supply chain strategy execution & performance to enable achievement of the financial & overall category targets for Microsoft devices such as Xbox, Surface & products of the future. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will own the execution of a product supply plan, ensuring optimal availability (right product in the right place at the right time) and productive utilization of inventory across different regions & segments. You will partner with key CMs, as well as logistics and fulfillment teams on improving product availability, reducing overall supply chain costs, and optimizing working capital. You will leverage your creativity to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement in planning processes.
Job Responsibility:
Supply Plan Management: Ensuring service goals are achieved, driving timely & accurate supply communications
Track factory performance against plan, proactively managing all deviations & mitigating risks to meeting the supply commitment
Partner with cross functional teams to determine and execute an optimal fulfillment of the supply plan. Driving responsive solutions to changes in demand
Proactively manage deviations and mitigate risks to ensure supply continuity
Executional Excellence: Ensure accurate and on-time release of Build Plan data every week, reflecting the latest strategic priorities
Working with manufacturing and freight partners, you will drive flawless execution at a daily level through defining, maintaining, and measuring execution health metrics
Identifying problem areas and driving appropriate actions to achieve targets (order confirmation %, on-time delivery, and supply agility among others)
Identify issues and implement corrective actions promptly
New capability development: Serve as an expert in tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements, summarizing complex systems for senior leaders and overseeing standardization. You’ll also determine potential data sources for analyzing supply, review dashboards for presenting analysis, and design and streamline data management processes
Lead process improvement initiatives and propose enhancements to supply planning systems to boost efficiency and scalability
Drive implementation and adoption of new capabilities to support business growth
Business Intelligence and Analytics: Perform analyses & build ‘what-if’ scenario models to support decision making
work to improve data systems and develop new reporting tools to improve supply visibility & accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools or related experience
OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, Sales & Operations Planning, material requirement planning systems and tools or related experience
OR equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of supply chain with prior experience in product supply planning, inventory management, procurement or manufacturing operations
SAP/IBP skills are a must
Strong analytical capabilities & experience with statistical tools (advanced Excel/ VBA, SQL/ ETL a plus)
Strong process/system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems
Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Good business judgment & exceptional communication/presentation skills
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
