About the Company Zeagold Nutrition is one of New Zealand’s leading egg producers and processors, supplying retail, foodservice, and export markets from a network of farms and processing sites across the country. The business is in an active period of network development and is investing in its planning capability to support continued growth. The Role Reporting to the Logistics and Supply Manager, the Supply Chain Planner takes ownership of Zeagold’s forward supply plan across a complex, multi-site network. The role sits at the centre of the S&OP process, connecting farm supply, production scheduling, inventory management, and customer fulfilment. It requires someone who can read a fast-moving picture, make sound decisions, and push back when the plan does not stack up.
Job Responsibility
Maintain and adjust a forward shell egg supply forecast using Power BI and agreed planning parameters
Schedule and coordinate grading across 2-4 internal sites and 10+ external grading sites and farms
Develop weekly production plans for processed egg products based on raw materials, forecasts, and stock balances
Monitor shell egg and processed product inventory against days cover targets, managing short-dated and aged stock
Execute shell egg replenishment plans using DRP across all distribution centres
Plan, order, and allocate packaging inventory to ensure production continuity
Lead weekly and monthly supply meetings to align supply with demand across the network
Identify risks to the supply plan and escalate with clear, well-reasoned recommendations
Contribute to continuous improvement across scheduling processes and planning systems
Requirements
3+ years in a planning role, ideally within FMCG, food, or primary sector
fast-paced production environments considered
Solid working knowledge of S&OP and demand/supply planning methodology
Advanced Excel essential
D365 and Power BI experience advantageous
Comfortable working with data and confident translating analysis into clear recommendations
The confidence to know when you are right and to push back constructively when needed
Strong communicator with the ability to build trust across production, sales, and logistics teams
Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain, analytics, or a related discipline preferred
