Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to lead critical warehouse and fulfillment operations for a long-term contract position based in Edina, Minnesota. This role will focus on optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring seamless inventory control and distribution as operations scale globally. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage complex supply chain functions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse and fulfillment activities, including receiving, inventory management, packing, and shipping
  • Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts and storage strategies to maximize productivity and throughput
  • Manage inventory tracking processes to ensure accuracy and availability of materials and finished goods
  • Lead the packing and distribution operations, with a focus on increasing direct shipments to international partners
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and execute solutions to enhance productivity and performance
  • Establish and monitor warehouse performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adequate staffing to support plant operations and growing fulfillment demands, including managing contractor-based teams
  • Provide clear leadership and direction for warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align inventory, purchasing, and contractor resources with supply chain goals
  • Support the introduction of new product lines and strategies, including expanded international distribution

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations in manufacturing or logistics
  • Expertise in warehouse layout optimization, material handling, inventory control, and fulfillment processes
  • Proven ability to oversee and improve receiving, inventory, packing, and shipping functions
  • Strong track record of identifying operational gaps and implementing efficiency improvements
  • Experience in developing and utilizing warehouse performance metrics to monitor productivity
  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing teams and contractor-based workforces
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with increasing global shipping volumes and operational complexity
  • Knowledge of global supply chain logistics and international distribution processes
