We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Orderbook Professional to join a major defence programme supporting the Typhoon Repairs order book at Samlesbury. This is an exciting opportunity for a supply chain or orderbook professional to work within a fast-paced operational environment, supporting customer delivery requirements and coordinating activities across multiple business functions.
Job Responsibility
Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery
Maintain and coordinate order books to ensure delivery targets are achieved
Liaise with internal teams including Procurement, Engineering, and Commercial
Support customer orderbook reviews and stakeholder meetings
Update ERP systems with accurate and current information
Monitor KPIs and report on delivery or operational impacts
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including international customers and suppliers
Support forecasting, shipments, and supply chain coordination activities
Requirements
Previous experience within orderbook management, supply chain, or logistics
Experience working in a customer-facing environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Good understanding of KPIs and operational performance
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload effectively
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Nice to have
Experience using Infor LN ERP systems
Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or defence environments
