The Warehousing Operations Specialist works closely with Materials Management and Logistics to assess, design, and recommend an optimal warehousing network and operating model. This role focuses on balancing service levels, cost, capacity, and risk across the company’s supply chain. The Specialist will lead strategic initiatives from analysis through implementation, ensuring measurable business value.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute an approved strategy to optimize warehousing operations across the network
Evaluate alternative warehousing and operating models and perform detailed financial and operational analyses to identify the best solution
Lead initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Develop and manage: Network design and location strategy
Financial and operational business cases
Implementation roadmaps and change management plans
Governance structures and stakeholder engagement
Requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on warehousing and/or logistics
Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a university degree
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound commercial and operational decisions
Proven project management experience, including managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at multiple levels
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions
Nice to have:
Enrollment in or completion of a professional designation such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or equivalent
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Experience with utility-related operations is considered an asset
