Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Officer to support our client’s purchasing division to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves placing and managing purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers, optimizing inventory, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

Place and manage purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
Identify and communicate inventory gaps to relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery
Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly
Assist in the implementation of new products as part of any growth strategy
Assist in the preparation and execution of regular cycle counts
Assist with and work on cost saving plans in the reduction of aged stock (SLOB SLow and OBsolete)

Requirements:

Proven experience in inventory management or purchasing
Intermediate Excel
SAP/ERP experience essential
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
High school certificate
