The Supply Chain Manager oversees the organization’s procurement, warehouse, contracts, inventory, and logistics operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant supply of materials, equipment, and services. The role ensures adherence to policies and regulations, provides strategic leadership, strengthens supplier performance, manages costs, and ensures the timely delivery of quality materials to support operational needs.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
Oversee sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchasing processes
Benchmark and review existing procurement systems, process and performance standards and recommend improvements
Ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality standards
Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials
Implement inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies
Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials
Optimize warehouse layout and processes for efficiency and safety
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Oversee preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts
Ensure contractual terms are favourable and compliant with legal and organizational standards
Monitor contract performance and manage renewals or amendments
Coordinate with legal and finance departments to mitigate contractual risks
Maintain proper documentation and contract records
Lead and mentor procurement, warehouse, and contracts teams
Develop departmental budgets and monitor expenditures
Establish KPIs and performance metrics for the department
Prepare reports on supply chain performance for senior management
Identify process improvements and implement best practices
Drive digital transformation and system improvements within supply operations
Manage decommissioning SCM end-to-end processes including sales auction process for surplus and decommissioned assets, developing competitive strategies, coordinating with legal and finance for approvals, and supervising execution to maximize revenue recovery through transparent, compliant bidding
Manage logistics operations including transportation, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling
Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of materials across the supply chain
Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent
Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, CPSM) preferred
Deep understanding of supply chain, procurement activities, processes, methods, tools and techniques
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP platforms
Financial acumen and budgeting expertise
12+ years’ experience in supply chain management, preferably within EPC, energy, or industrial sectors, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
