Job Description

Assist in responding to basic customer inquiries regarding order status and coordinate with the team to resolve delivery issues. Assist with supplier management activities related to U.S. Government contracts and solicitations, gaining experience with compliance requirements. Track the movement of parts through the lifecycle using relevant systems and documentation. Assist in preparing for and participating in supplier meetings, documenting action items, and following up on development initiatives. Interface with program and customer information management systems, learning to extract and analyze data. Assist in coordinating efforts between Supply Chain, Engineering, Program, Warehouse, Finance, and Contracts teams on various projects. Support the identification of potential alternative suppliers to address part obsolescence, under the guidance of senior team members. Support the evaluation of supplier capabilities through data gathering and research. Assist in tracking supplier development plans and their effectiveness. Support the assessment of supplier risks and the development of mitigation strategies, learning about risk management in a supply chain context. Identify and recommend potential process improvements within the procurement function.

Requirements

  • Must be a student enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university and planning to be enrolled full-time in the Fall of 2026
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated interest in contracts, procurement, or supply chain operations
  • Basic understanding of supply chain concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to have

  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel pivot tables, data visualization software)
  • Experience interacting with customers, suppliers, or vendors (e.g., through customer service, sales, or relevant projects)
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team
  • Coursework or projects related to: Negotiation, Sourcing, Contract Management
