Job Description

Position is responsible for the end-to-end vehicle logistics flow in Chile: from international shipment tracking, customs/nationalization, port evacuation, storage, yard control, and final national distribution.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordination of Inbound and Outbound operations for Chevrolet vehicles from General Motors Chile (SUP)
  • Responsible for the administration and monitoring of logistics contracts with the multiple suppliers in the chain, as well as ensuring timely completion of the reception processes, yard management, inventory management and delivery of vehicles to the General Motors Chile dealer network
  • Leading the planning of port vehicle evacuation through pre-operations with shipping lines, ports, carriers, and 3PLs
  • Coordinating with the different areas of GM the business needs to meet the corporation's objectives
  • Analysis of business cases associated with logistics optimizations within the operation, as well as analysis of operational impacts due to external factors (Budget Control)
  • Planning and coordination of the distribution of vehicles to the Chevrolet network throughout the country (including Free Trade Zones)
  • Review and analysis of Service settlements (Logistics providers), as well as management of provision reports
  • Generation of regional reports (FGI, Revenue Recognition, Budget Control)
  • Participation in regional continuous improvement projects
  • Constant communication in coordination with the General Motors Chile dealer network
  • Inventory management (SAP)
  • Manage and control the Management Indicators (Damage free, Aging, reliability, IPTV, Damage Recovery)

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (GRADUATED) in Business Administration, Engineer, or related Careers
  • +4 years of previous experience in similar positions (logistics, supplier management, or purchasing)
  • Microsoft Office: intermediate level
  • English: intermediate level
  • Availability to work in Ciudad Empresarial, Santiago, Chile in a hybrid regime (3 times per week in person)
  • Availability to make weekly visits to the network of logistics suppliers and dealers
