Job Description

A hands-on internship opportunity within a global Supply Chain organization for motivated, detail-oriented students. The intern will support daily procurement operations, supplier coordination, and data analysis activities - gaining real exposure to procurement systems, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role contributes to improving procurement visibility, operational efficiency, and data accuracy.

Job Responsibility

  • Track open purchase orders, confirmations, and delivery updates
  • Follow up with suppliers on past-due orders and critical shortages
  • Maintain procurement trackers (open PO report, shortage list, supplier follow-up log)
  • Prepare weekly/monthly procurement reports — On-Time Delivery (OTD), lead time tracking, past-due and risk analysis
  • Perform data validation and cleansing for supplier and material master data
  • Support inventory and material flow analysis — stock levels, shortages, and excess inventory trends
  • Assist cross-functional coordination with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance teams
  • Convert manual processes into digital tools (Excel, SharePoint) and standardize reporting templates
  • Document basic procurement procedures (SOPs)
  • Support supplier performance tracking for internal reviews

Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • Internship or project experience in supply chain or data analysis is a plus
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency (formulas, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to multitask in an organized manner
  • Basic ERP system knowledge (SAP preferred, not required)
  • Continuous improvement and Lean thinking mindset
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have

  • Internship or project experience in supply chain or data analysis is a plus
