Supply Chain Executive role in Shanghai, China. Responsibilities include supplier management, quality assurance, export documentation, logistics coordination, data collection, and reporting. Requires 5+ years experience in pesticide/agrochemical supply chain and export from China.
Job Responsibility
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and coordinate lead times to achieve optimal cost efficiency
Conduct factory visits and supplier audits to ensure compliance with company and international regulatory standards as well as maintaining the audit reports
Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to ensure product consistency and reliability
Quality Assurance & Inspection: Oversee pre-shipment quality and packaging inspections of each batch
Coordinate with Suppliers about packaging material arrival dates, production schedule and expecting loading dates for pre-shipment inspection planning
Collect routine product inspection lab reports and share with overseas team
Coordinate and identify third-party labs for additional independent testing when required
Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports and ensure adherence to importing country regulations and importer standards
Follow up with overseas team to collect feedback sheets and claim sheets for any issues detected
Document and resolve any quality deviations, coordinate corrective actions
Documentation & Logistics: Verify all export documentation (invoice, packing list, COC, COA, MSDS, test reports, B/L, etc.) upon requirement
Coordinate with freight forwarders for FOB shipments for freight booking, timely and compliant shipments
Track shipments and update overseas team on loading status and deviations
Data Collection: Support overseas development team by collecting new formulations, packaging, product types and labeling information in China, Chinese custom export data for Supplier identification, new and existing product registration data in China, alternative/new product recommendations from suppliers, product samples and manuals, lab reports
Attend industry events like conferences, exhibitions like CAC, ACE to stay updated
Send potential product samples with manuals, field application videos, COC, COA from suppliers to import market teams
Collect documents from suppliers/manufacturers/certified labs for product registration
Reporting & Communication: Maintain updated supply and inspection reports
Submit regular status reports, supplier performance reviews, cost summaries
Maintain structured records of samples and purchase orders
Act as extension of head office in China resolving issues and streamlining communication
Communicate effectively with overseas office ensuring timely updates and clarity on active projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture, Supply Chain or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in pesticide/agrochemical supply and export documentation from China
Strong understanding of Chinese pesticide export documentation and export logistics
Excellent communication and documentation skills in English and Mandarin with experience in working with international buyers or trading companies
Strong attention to detail, analytical and ability to work independently with integrity
Ability to travel across China and for factory visits, inspections and supplier audits
Willingness to travel to import markets to meet the international teams and evaluate product performance and market feedback
Ability to maintain a strong attention to detail about product compliance, standards, product and packaging specifications and shipment instructions in the import markets
Willingness to take feedback from the import markets and improve accordingly
