Job Description

The Distribution Operator III is responsible for order processing functions such as picking, packing and shipping pharmaceutical orders to sales reps, wholesalers, and retailers. Distribution Operators rotate through a variety of roles related to performing these functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for safety within area of responsibility, implementation of safety initiatives and safety compliance with local procedures. Support and engage in safety culture and safety of others
  • Receiving/Shipping of materials, storage of material in appropriate storage locations
  • Picking, packing, preparation and shipping to customer orders, order processing in warehouse inventory system, cycle counting
  • Adhere to PDC Site safety policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
  • Demonstrate Safety as number one absolute and follow procedures accurately
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements
  • Follow and execute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities
  • Meet appropriate goals for performance improvement as defined by area Leadership
  • Maintain learning plan at 100% current
  • Constantly look for improvements in productivity, compliance, and data accuracy
  • Use two or more of the different Power Industrial Equipment (PIT)
  • Cross trained to perform multiple assignments
  • Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Comply with clients and Company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the Company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan
  • Adhere to the requirements of the Quality System
  • Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a Distribution Warehouse environment including: SAP Exacta Warehouse Management system (SAP/S4P/Exacta systems)
  • Operating a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks (Swing reach truck, Stand up, cherry picker, Rider pallet jack, and a Sit-down)
  • Working with an electronic warehouse management system (EWM) such as SAP, Exacta and RF scanners
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to details
  • Must be flexible and willing to be cross trained to perform multiple assignments
  • Reliable and have a good work attendance
  • Basic computer skills, with the capability to learn in more detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication – written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize individual workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to grasp and retain internal systems
  • Ability to work in a support role within a team
  • Adheres to Company values
