We are partnering with a growing organization in Batavia, Illinois, seeking a highly organized Supply Chain Assistant to support daily logistics, procurement, and inventory operations. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension and follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite presence required several days per week.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative and operational support to the supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams
Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and follow‑up with vendors and internal stakeholders
Monitor inventory levels, update system records, and support cycle counts or reconciliation activities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with carriers
Maintain accurate data within ERP or supply chain management systems
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation related to purchasing, inventory, and logistics
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution
Support cross‑functional teams with supply chain inquiries, documentation needs, and process updates
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements
Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
2-4 years of administrative or supply chain support experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with ERP systems or supply chain software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy in a fast‑paced setting
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams while working independently
