Job Description

You will join the Fairings Sub-commodity team within the Aerostructure Supply Chain & Quality organization to take on the role of Supply Chain Quality Manager (SCQM). Our scope includes managing Belly Fairings, Main Landing Gear Doors, Karman Fairings within a transnational environment, collaborating with suppliers around the world. As an SCQM, you will be the primary interface with nominated supplier(s) and responsible for nurturing the key relationship between the supplier and Airbus. The SCQM role is about making the benefits of a robust supply chain available to Airbus so we can bring value to our customers much faster, all while maintaining quality standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage supply chain and quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and On Cost when applicable) performance
  • Ensure all non-quality events are thoroughly assessed and that effective corrective actions are implemented
  • Provide consolidated forecasts to suppliers and ensure that suppliers have the required capacity
  • Assess the supplier's capacity, capability, and performance, and contribute to their development
  • Identify supplier industrial risks and propose appropriate mitigation actions
  • Develop and implement short-term recovery plans
  • Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, setting mid-term development targets together with the suppliers and in coordination with the Supplier Development Team
  • Maintain close communication and coordination with the operational teams at internal customer sites, ensuring the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services
  • This role will involve frequent business travel

Requirements

  • Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline
  • High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a networking mode
  • Spanish & English at Negotiation level
