Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Assurance Buyer to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for placing purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely availability of materials needed to meet production demands. This position plays a critical role in maintaining supply continuity and optimizing overall supply chain performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Place purchase orders for goods and services to support manufacturing operations
  • Procure direct materials in alignment with the manufacturing plan, driven by MRP
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost efficiency
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing strategies to meet production needs
  • Identify and resolve potential supply issues proactively
  • Actively manage purchasing workflows within SAP
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies to minimize delays and ensure timely payments
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials that meet quality standards
  • Partner with scheduling and production teams to expedite orders as needed
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within purchasing operations
  • Participate in supplier audits and business reviews
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Process returns to vendor (RTVs) for non-conforming materials
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, commercial requirements, and safety standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or production planning
  • Experience issuing and expediting purchase orders
  • Working knowledge of purchasing and materials management principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Teams

Nice to have

  • Exposure to CPM and/or CPIM certification (preferred)
  • Experience with SAP is highly preferred
