This position is part of the SET (Supplier Engineering and Technology). SET is an organization that is innovative in manufacturing technology, materials and supply chain design. In this position, you, as a supplier engineer will play a vital role for TM(Transfer Module : ATM & VTM) and PM(Process Module) assembly suppliers. Job Responsibility:
Influencing decisions and company driven objectives within internal and external groups to achieve company goals
Work with Lam Product Group Engineering organizations and suppliers in development and product transition for TM(Transfer Module : ATM & VTM) and PM(Process Module)
Interfacing with key teams within Lam including technical product groups, account teams and global operations as a representative of SET
Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
Developing suppliers to meet Lam quality standards
Act as liaison/technical lead for cross functional projects to include Build Verify and Production Readiness Review
Build manufacturing jigs and fixtures for Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical assembly
Able to provide key technical analysis for problem solving process
Interface with supplier personnel and provide technical solutions to Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical system assembly
Continuously working on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods
Work closely with test engineers to provide an optimum trouble shooting methods
Perform standardized supplier quality audits and administer supplier quality scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing technical programs and projects, preferably in the Semiconductor Industry
Knowledge in EFEM’s (Equipment Front End Modules), BEM’s (Back End Modules) and PM (Process Module) will be an added advantage
Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of electrical/mechanical/test engineering
In-depth understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes of Semiconductor equipment system(Transfer module & Process module)
Basic understanding for workmanship standard especially, assembly process, cable routing, sheet metal, Machining, welding and powder painting, Vacuum chamber
Skills in understanding of drawing interpretation and electric circuit-diagram(electrical schematic)
Experience in supplier process development & quality management sucha as FMEA, QMS, supplier audit, scorecard, FAIR, Poka-yoke, Kaizen and, etc
Experience in supplier development, transition and qualification to support localization activity including sub-tier supplier qualification
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Material or Engineering or equivalent
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Nice to have:
English preferred - Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Solid understanding of various problem-solving methodologies to include 8D/5 why
Project Management / Team Lead experience
Experience with working with contract manufacturers or remote factories who build the semiconductor equipment assembly
Ability to align cross-functional teams across multiple departments to achieve goal
Ability to track and organize multiple concurrent activities
