As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will establish, assist and support the supply chain management process developing reliable external direct suppliers, by assessing supplier capabilities and providing performance improvement methods.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor supplier performance, develop, and publish data reports
judge 8D reports and Problem-Solving Tools analysis
Support and push underperforming suppliers in their improvement activities
Manage supplier changes processing (SSCR)
Support Cost Recovery activities between Suppliers and Aptiv
Support cross-functional teams (APQP/PDP) and function as a liaison to additional supplier development / supplier quality resources
Lead Regional SPDP Planning & Analysis and Administration Activities
Perform audits at suppliers concerning Manufacturing & Problem-solving capabilities, independent planning, execution and rating of system and process audits at suppliers on request
Monitor/accelerate supplier implementation of improvement plans through follow up measures
Sampling Approval (PPAP, PPF): initialize, observe, judge, and approve products and processes at suppliers according to requirements
Requirements:
Bac+5 in a technical education
Experience of min 2-5 years of Quality Area in Aptiv
Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, engineering processes and Problem Solving tools
Fluent English required (Oral and written communication skills)
Flexibility and travel readiness
Creativity, Initiative & Independent judgement
Experience in Auditing of suppliers according to VDA & IATF Standards
Knowledge of Customer Specific requirements (including German OEMs) and Automotive Standard
Interpersonal skills to lead motivate and facilitate others in group situations and instruct others in new techniques
