Job Description

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring supplier quality and driving continuous improvement across CommScope’s fiber and copper connectivity supply base. You will partner closely with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and global quality teams to prevent quality issues, resolve material-related concerns, and support new product and technology introductions. Your work will directly contribute to reliable product performance and customer satisfaction worldwide.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal systems to support the Quality team effectively
  • Resolve material quality issues promptly and collaborate with component and design engineers to improve specifications and drawings based on supplier capabilities
  • Apply creative and systematic approaches to meet global quality targets
  • Conduct supplier quality system and process audits, drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Analyze supplier DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million), establish performance metrics, and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with suppliers to introduce new technologies and processes aligned with company requirements
  • Partner with global quality teams to address customer complaints related to supplier/material quality
  • Provide on-site support for audits of suppliers serving other business units and follow up on corrective actions
  • Lead qualification and evaluation of new suppliers from a quality perspective
  • Train and coach existing suppliers on quality system improvements and quality tool implementation
  • Manage material qualification and validation projects
  • support engineering changes and ensure proper implementation at supplier sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or above degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or Information and Communication Engineering
  • 5 years or more of experience in supplier quality management, including process and technology
  • Experience in the copper communication industry, familiarity with Lan Cable, Copper Cable, RJ45 Cable assembly, PCB & Electronic parts processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 quality systems and product/process development, knowledge of TL9000 is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and MSA
  • Proficient in quality tools such as TQM, 8D, Poke Yoke, Kaizen, and QC 7 tools
  • Experience in developing and documenting quality procedures and inspection methods
  • Understanding of reliability, environmental, and qualification programs
  • Ability to monitor vendor quality programs and implement corrective actions
  • Assertive communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong decision-making, logical reasoning, and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of articulating, defending, and negotiating quality expectations with suppliers
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Minitab
  • able to interpret 2D drawings
  • Strong analytical skills for resolving quality issues
  • Willingness to travel extensively: 80% in China, 20% in APAC region
  • Fluent in communication in both English and Chinese

Nice to have

  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • CET-4 required, CET-6 preferred
